Location: Franklin & Lynn, MA USA
Summary:
The Power Plant Operator fills an essential role at our customer’s sites where we operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This position will be accountable for keeping two four-megawatt power plants online and producing electricity, hot water, and chilled water. The Operator will also be responsible for maintaining the equipment and repairing any problems in a timely manner.
This position is full time and requires the operator to live within commuting distance of the job sites (in Franklin & Lynn, MA).
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of hands on field service or workshop experience servicing and operating large industrial reciprocating engines (>500 Hp).
- Understanding and demonstrated hands-on experience of electronic and mechanical engine control systems and engine auxiliary systems
- Familiarity with generators and low voltage distribution
- Familiarity with industrial instrumentation and control systems
- Good working knowledge of personal computers, including MS Office (Excel, Word etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and customer relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Physical Demands - must be able to lift 50 lbs and work with hand tools, air tools, and electrical testing equipment
