SUMMARY: 

The Site Controller is responsible for acting as the liaison between site operations and corporate accounting.  In this capacity, the Site Controller will be accountable for a variety of financial analysis, budget and planning tasks in support of the business.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Prepare and compile financial budgets and forecasts
  • Review and analyzes budget to actual variances
  • Review journal entries prepared by other finance staff and prepare nonstandard journal entries as required
  • Support Sales and Operations in budget preparation and analysis
  • Act as conduit between site operations and corporate accounting to ensure effective and efficient information flow
  • Maintain the company’s system of internal controls, accounting procedures and records, including compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • Work closely with our management team to continually improve product profitability and business performance. 
    Focus on increasing margins and reducing costs by streamlining business systems and processes
  • Recommend and implement changes to improve the accounting systems
  • Assist in month end close including account analysis and reconciliations
  • Other financial statement analysis as required
  • Support annual budget process and interim forecasts
  •  Apply GAAP accounting principles and practices
  • Other finance department tasks as required


    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Supervisory experience desirable
  • 10+ years experience, including supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong analytical, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent PC skills (especially Excel), strong knowledge of other Microsoft applications. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with integrated accounting software. Experience with Great Plains Dynamics desirable.
  • ERP systems knowledge

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • ERP/MRP system implementation experience
  • EPICOR/Vantage experience
